The Hunger Banquet was based on the concept of Oxfam Hunger Banquet. Many participants pledged to consume food more sustainably by becoming vegetarian once a week and reducing food wastage.
The aim of this project is to increase the awareness about the global food crisis among the Singaporean and educate them as to how they can consume food more sustainably. And departing from this initial aim, the project is expected to grow and target not only the consumer but also the food producer.
AIESEC in NTU, Singapore is proud to be the first to take the initiative in dealing with this issue. The same goes with you, as the first organizations & people who endorse this initiative in Singapore.
